Salesforce Administrator

The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s Salesforce platform to support business operations and drive user adoption. This role oversees system configuration, security, and data integrity while building reports, dashboards, and automation to improve efficiency. The Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for user support and training, partners with stakeholders to translate business needs into system solutions, and ensures the platform evolves with organizational goals and Salesforce best practices. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance, Configuration, & Customization 

  • Customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and apps. 
  • Build and manage workflows, validation rules, approval processes, and automation. 
  • Configure dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. 
  • Perform regular system audits and data cleanups. 
  • Manage Salesforce releases, updates, and system integrations. 
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement fixes. 

 

User Management, Security, & Access Control 

  • Create and manage user accounts, profiles, and roles. 
  • Assign and revoke licenses and permissions. 
  • Provide training and support for end users. 
  • Maintain data security through role hierarchies, permission sets, and sharing rules. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and data regulations. 

 

Data Management, Reporting, & Analytics 

  • Import, export, and update data using tools like Data Loader or Data Import Wizard. 
  • Ensure data accuracy, deduplication, and integrity. 
  • Develop processes for ongoing data quality assurance. 
  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards tailored to business needs. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations from Salesforce data. 

 

Organizational Support & Training 

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements. 
  • Translate needs into Salesforce solutions that improve efficiency. 
  • Document system processes and maintain best practices. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce-related questions. 
  • Provide training, create user guides, and promote adoption. 

Qualifications

Qualifications  

  • 5+ years experience as a Salesforce Administrator 
    - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Advanced Salesforce Administrator Certifications preferred 
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce core features 
  • Familiarity with automation tools 
  • Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations 
  • Proficiency with Salesforce data management tools 
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills 
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions 

  

Physical Demands & Work Environment: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer  
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times  
  • HQ office space or home office space  
  • Travel to HQ office space at minimum quarterly for departmental meetings  
  • Frequent typing and talking over the phone or Teams  
  • Comply with all operational standards and employment laws and regulations
