Responsibilities

Position Summary: 

The Hospital Development Representative will support IndeVet’s growth and expansion efforts in the veterinary medicine industry. Reporting directly to the VP of Service Delivery you'll play a vital role in identifying, connecting, and partnering with animal hospitals in both current and emerging markets. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

 

  • Strategic Partnerships 
  • Identify, connect with, and onboard new hospital partners in expanding markets. 
  • Reactivate partner hospitals that are no longer using our services, driving company growth and success.  
  • Sales Objectives 
  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through effective communication of the IndeVet solution via various channels including phone, email, virtual meetings and in-person interactions.  
  • Relationship Building 
  • Network and cultivate relationships with industry professionals through social media, tradeshows, conferences, and other relevant events.  
  • Understand customer pain points and communicate our value proposition effectively.   
  • Collaboration 
  • Work closely with the scheduling team, operations team, and SSMs  to ensure seamless integration of new partner hospitals in targeted regions. 
  • Innovative Solutions 
  • Continuously explore new and innovative approaches to identify, connect, and partner with animal hospitals, contributing to the company's competitive edge.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required) 

 

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in the veterinary medicine industry 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with outstanding customer service abilities 
  • Proven track record in advanced sales techniques, negotiation, and growth strategies, with the ability to adapt to changing scenarios 
  • Experience working in a high-growth environment, demonstrating the ability to thrive amidst change and uncertainty 
  • High level of professional curiosity and a willingness to innovate and execute sales strategies effectively 
  • Comfortable working with limited direction, with a natural ability to anticipate and address customer needs 
  • Experience in metrics or data-driven environments, utilizing tools such as MS Office, Salesforce, and Click-Up 

 

Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Strong customer service and time management skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures 
  • Ability to operate general office equipment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software 

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer   
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times   
  • HQ office space or home office space   
  • Travel to HQ office space at minimum quarterly for departmental meetings   
  • Frequent typing and talking over the phone or Teams   
  • Comply with all operational standards and employment laws and regulations
