Responsibilities

As a Strategic Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and fostering strong relationships with our Partner Hospitals and our Associate IndeVets. You will be responsible for maximizing current partnerships, identifying new opportunities for expansion, and ensuring the overall success of our Associate IndeVet program. Your time will be spent between client relationships and non-clinical aspects of Associate IndeVets, ensuring our clients are satisfied with our services and that our Associate IndeVets have a variety of shifts available to them that meet the highest standards of professionalism and quality. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establishing Your Market
    • Serve as the primary liaison between Partner Hospitals and Associate IndeVets, fostering strong relationships and strategic alignment. 
    • Establish and execute a strategic business development plan for your market to increase the number and variety of available shifts for Associate IndeVets to ensure they can meet their minimum hour requirements.  
    • Collaborate with the Recruiting team to assess market viability for hiring new doctors.   
    • As necessary, visit clients, attend tradeshows and/or other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship building opportunities. 
    • Maximize relationships with existing Partner Hospitals and engage as their primary touchpoint to increase the number of shifts available for Associate IndeVets and the number of shifts worked, directly impacting revenue. 
    • Build and maintain a strong partnership with all Partner Hospitals through continuous engagement to ensure client satisfaction, having detailed knowledge of services offered and consistency of delivery.
    • Identify and pursue new Partner Hospitals opportunities based on the overall health of your market.  
    • Offer innovative, creative, and effective employment solutions.  
  • Associate IndeVet Relationship Management
    • Support a team of veterinarians as it relates to shift availability and shift management, creating schedules for our Associate IndeVets that align with both doctor and hospital needs.  
    • Escalate clinical performance issues that come in through Partner Hospital reviews to Clinical Leadership and work alongside advocacy team members to resolve issues as needed.
  • Partner with Regional Advocacy Team
    • Collaborate with clients to ensure they recognize the total value of working with Associate IndeVets through performance indicators like Average Clent Transaction (ACT), Gold Standard Medicine and Clinical Excellence.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Report on Associate IndeVet shift fill rate, shift availability, and client account status, including progress, successes, challenges, and metrics. 
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive continuous improvement. 
    • Communicate client feedback to internal teams to influence service improvements. 

Qualifications

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent business experience

Experience:

  • 3+ years of account management and sales experience (Required) 
  • Veterinary industry experience (Strongly Preferred)
  • Proven track record of B2B selling and growing accounts    
  • Experience multi-tasking and effectively prioritizing workload  
  • Professionalism and ability to communicate at all levels of the client organization  
  • Success using both analytics and relationships to drive results 
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining strong attention to detail  
  • Possess a relentless determination to make things happen   
  • Ability to navigate through a large, complex organization  
  • Proven ability to forecast customer needs and upcoming opportunities   
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a metrics-driven environment 
  • Proficiency using Microsoft suite of services, Salesforce, and shared drives  

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong customer service and time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times 
  • HQ office space or home office space 
  • Travel to HQ office space at minimum quarterly for departmental meetings 
  • Frequent typing and talking over the phone or Teams 
  • Comply with all operational standards and employment laws and regulations
